- We photograph in some of the most beautiful locations in the France, the value of our workshops remains on learning photography in settings where you have the opportunity to make extraordinary images and enjoy yourself.
- Our Adventure Workshops are based on the viewpoint that students learn more by doing than simply by being instructed, therefore the two are combined. Groups are small, between 4 and 8 people, so tuition is personal and detailed. Also because the groups are small, tuition is tailored to the level of the individual student. The keyword is 'Adventure' which means we are out there photographing and the tuition is ongoing. At the end of each days shoot there is a leisurely discussion of the photo techniques of the day, and the chance for each participant to ask questions or clarify anything that may have taken place during the course of the days shoot.
- The level of photographic experience ranges from those who have no previous experience, to professional and semi-professional, and all levels in between. If you are just starting out and have no previous photographic experience, or want to try something different because you feel you may wish to learn something new, Photo Adventure France is for you.
- All workshops are held in English, although I do speak French. However as you will be in France you will be immersed in French culture and history, and of course the French language. In addition to the photographic workshops there is the added opportunity to get acquainted with the French language, or indeed brush up and practice what you may already know. My personal assistant, who also happens to be my wife, is French and is also on hand to smooth the way.
- The cost of a six day workshop - Saturday afternoon till Friday afternoon - is €1800 (Approx £1275) For the Paris Photo Adventure Workshop this price does not include meals, lodging and transportation, film or processing. For Les Corbières and Normandy Photo Adventure Workshops lodgings and transportation are included. A minimum deposit of €500 is required 30 days in advance of your selected workshop. On receipt of your registration and deposit payment, details will be sent by email regarding the payment of the balance. Payment for workshops only can be accepted by cheque in Pounds Sterling or bank transfer to a UK bank account.
- You are responsible for the arrangement and payment of transportation costs to and from the workshop locations in France.
- We have selected and recommend accommodations for the locations of the workshops. I have listed below some examples of approximate costs.

- Paris: Hôtel du Panthéon For 6 nights including breakfast €900 (Approx £555) Although Photo Adventure France is at this time negotiating an inclusive photo workshop rate.
- Normandy: Château L'Isle-Marie For 6 nights with breakfast is included in the cost. Exceptional location and accommodation.
- Les Corbières: Domaine de Perruche du Buis For 6 nights with breakfast is included in the cost. Exceptional location and accommodation.
The workshops held in Les Corbières at the beginning of September will also include excursions to view exhibitions of superb photography at Visa Pour l'Image This is the largest gathering of the top photographers and photojournalist in the world. The Visa Pour l'Image in Perpignan is a festival of photography held annually and in itself a learning experience.
