Meet Photographer Wilf James
Adventurer and acclaimed photographer Wilf James has been involved in photography for over 30 years. By 1985, he was shooting and selling photographs as a professional freelancer. One of his earliest commissions was producing thousands of photographs for The Brighton Tourist Board in Southern England, whose varied assignments included everything from photographing stage productions, political rallies, architectural interiors and exteriors, to politicians, actors, rock stars, comedians and all aspects of life in the bustling seaside town.
In the early 1990's, deciding to realize a dream, he packed his camera and set off on a journey that took him to North America, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Upon his return, his work was accepted by the Telegraph Colour Library and today, Wilf James’ images are syndicated worldwide by the prestigious Getty Images Agency. His signature photographs have appeared in over 50 countries, in magazines, books, as book and CD covers, on calendars and in editorial and advertising.
Wilf divides his time between homes in Paris and the beautiful seaside village of Peyriac-de-Mer in Southwest France near the frontier with Spain.
